It's the end of the year, which means... time to count down for the good music, yay! This year, however, I don't have that much desire to discover new bands, or listen to new music, so, let's forget the scary term "ground-breaking concept album"... I'll just throw out 16 albums that I enjoyed all year long. Yes, it's 16, *honey, don't make me cut it to 10, it's hard*.

>> MUSIC页面改版鸟, 专辑推荐改成乐队推荐 (因为专辑不能放整张下载了嘛, so). 呆了三个月的Lampshade终于要换啦, 这次选的乐队是The Blow, MV则有Man Man乐队的"Banana Ghost", interesting animation.
>> Little Birdy, 来自澳大利亚西部城市Perth的四人乐队, 成员分别是主唱兼吉他Katy Steele, 吉他手Simon Leach, 贝司Scott O'Donoghue, 和鼓手Matt Chequer. 主唱Katy那分明稚嫩的少女声线, 尾音却有着烟熏般的质感, 唱起歌来的调调是即性感又无辜. 她包办了乐队04年debut专辑 <BigBigLove> 中大部分歌曲的创作, 不论是节奏劲爆高音还飙得很high的"Excited", 抑或钢琴作点缀的浪漫小曲"It's All Your Fault", 甚至歌名貌似凝重的"Message To God", 其实均是你爱我爱的伤感情歌, 也因此, 失恋少女很受伤的形象就成了Little Birdy的标签之一.
今年十月, 已成军四年的他们发行了第二张专辑<Hollywood>, 这一次, 小鸟们似乎想证明他们长大了, 歌曲响亮up-beat了不少, 只可惜, 当情怀不再, 音乐也随之变得沉闷了.

>> Sally Shapiro, 瑞典女(again!), 传说特害羞, 连现场都不肯演, 但她的歌是迪斯科喔, yay, 舞曲, 应该找Allison Goldfrapp指导一下, 那阿姨一开始不也挺神秘, 现在越来越骚, 大有豁出去之势. Shapiro的首张EP, <Disco Romance>, 将在下月初面世, 这EP名字牛逼的, 俺想了好久组织不出的语言, 被她用两个词就概括掉了, *hands down*. Myspace上提供了四首试听, 听着都差不多, 其中"Anorak Christmas"是翻唱自瑞典歌手Nixon的作品.

>> The Robot Ate Me, 来自美国波特兰的三人乐队, 主唱Ryland Bouchard不但创建了自己的音乐厂牌Swim Slowly Records, 同时也是乐队Bedroom Heroes的成员. The Robot Ate me是他从02年开始的个人solo project, 随后加入了贝司手RJ Hoffman和鼓手David Greenberg, 03年发行首张专辑<They Ate Themselves>. 这首"Genocide Ball"选自乐队第二张专辑<On Vacation>, 俏皮的旋律, lo-fi般的音色, 像极了老电影里的配乐.

 TV-resistori - J.o.v.h.m.l.s.o.a.m.o. (love)
芬兰厂牌Fonal旗下的乐队, 今年刚推出的专辑<Serkut Rakastaa Paremmin>是张趣味盎然的twee-pop之作, 轻快的旋律辅以各式电音拼贴在一起, 给歌曲增添了几分搞怪的调调, 这首J.o.v.h.m.l.s.o.a.m.o. (love)已算是专辑中最安分的曲子了.
 Paavoharju - Valo Tihkuu Kaiken Lapi
仍然是Fonal厂牌的乐队, Paavoharju和TV-resistori不同, 他们是一支有着独特气质的迷幻民谣乐队. 颇具IDM风格的电子碎拍, 叮咚作响的电子采样, 甚至白色噪音墙, 这么多种音乐元素夹杂在一起可谓跳出了人们对迷幻民谣的定义, 倒是Fonal称他们为free-folk更贴切些. 出自专辑<Yha Hamaraa>里的这首Valo Tihkuu Kaiken Lapi, 无论是旋律抑或人声均像极了印度民歌, 但电音的运用却赋予了歌曲一种梦幻缥缈的感觉, 末段阵阵涌出的声浪如海水拍打礁石, 溅起了心碎的声音.
 Malajube - Montreal -40°C
说Montreal是加拿大的音乐重地一点也不为过, 近年在这里涌现出的新乐队更是呈几何形状增长着, 如果暂时排除Constellation家族的成员, Montreal乐队的风格大体是暖色调的, 热烈的, 饱满的, 而且乐队间的互动也多, 身处这种大环境下的Malajube当然不会例外, 他们的歌曲不但明亮, 大量乐器的堆叠让只有5名成员的他们听来实足一个8人大团, 新专辑<Trompe-l'Oeil>的录制有不少同城的乐队跨刀相助, 包括已成名的The Dears.
PS1. Malajube这个名字其实是一种罕见的青蛙疾病. PS2. Malajube是用法语唱歌的.
 Headlights - TV
号称是带有shoegazing余韵的indie-pop, 可惜俺把专辑听了好几遍都没感受出来||| (总觉得shoegaze更应该是种气质, 是一股摄人的魔力, 做到形似还不够, 得神似) 成立于2004年的Headlights今年发行了他们第一张录音室专辑, <Kill Them With Kindness>, 里面大多是能量充沛且上耳的流行曲, 专辑选曲值得再斟酌, 后半段明显底气不足.
